Heat

It's hot. Very hot. I can walk around at 2am wearing only a T-shirt and shorts. I feel like I'm on holiday. This is not conducive to working. Luckily, my office is so ridiculously over air-conditioned that it's impossible to dress in any way which doesn't mean I'll either bake in the heat on the way to work or freeze as I'm sitting at my desk staring out at the wonderful blue lake.

Apparently, at Austin the building containing the `math' department's air conditioning is as big as the `math' department itself.

Does the building containing the air conditioning also need to be air conditioned?

If so there must be an infinite sequence of buildings in Austin, each the size of the `math' department. Since Austin is finite this means the `math' department must be infinitesimally small.

It's very hot here too. I have had to buy very un-Henry things like sunglasses and sandals. Soon it'll be cut-off trousers, and then I will have actually turned into an Israeli.

Have you turned into a Yank yet, Claire?

Are they Jesus-sandals?

They are. Am planning to give them a test-drive on the Sea of Galilee this weekend.

Henry's attempts to become an Israeli erm... woman

P.S. Henry thinks his feet look a lot like Jesus's. He should know better.
