Stickshifts and safetybelts

Last night I had my first experience of "Dillo Day", the Northwestern equivalent of the day when undergraduates get sickeningly drunk because it's the start of the summer. I didn't really pay attention to most of the days entertainment possibilities, except for the one involving many sweaty undergraduates in an un-ventilated gym, the craziest hippiest front man a band could possibly have, and free Cake.

Are you implying that you saw Cake? Did the crazy hippy frontman have his funny instrument that goes 'boing'? Did they play 'Short Skirt Long Jacket'?

I am, he did, and they did. It was more of a 'brrrrr' than a 'boing' though.

They didn't play SSLJ when I saw them. I was disappointed. Everything else was great though. I was particularly impressed with their stamina. They went the distance.
